this is it. the no.1 of 5 diy tapes i recorded between 1996-1999. we had a tascam 4 track recorder in our appartment in munich. my roommates doc patcheko & dj ernesto did as well some recordings i remember. the first tape is called „no poetry“ & it`s been recorded 1996/1997.
i don`t remember how many tapes i copied and gave them away. never sold one.
anyway. what`s the music bout: 34 songs. bam. yeah – it`s just what it is. no highfidelity, no perfection, no tuned guitar, no nerdism, no jazz, no blahblahblah, just roots. sure you can call it psychedelic or deep or garage or punk or lowfi or whatever you want. but don`t expect toooo mucho.
sometimes the music is in time – some time not. some songs sound great other are just songs. some songs i played a few years later con los hermanos patchekos. & hey and there are some stupid coversongs as well: the clash, oasis, stiff little fingers, the stranglers, spanish civil war tunes ect…. just what a 27 year old kid like me did these days…… listenting intensive to lou barlow, ween and all my 4 track heroes these…“
